Kevin,
Yes, the TLN5970A SCM has an LED on the front (instead of a jewel for a
filament lamp), but it still has discrete transistors- no ICs on the
board. It may very well be that a later version of the 5970 SCM has
ICs, but all of the ones I have are transistorized.
