Most/many of the current insulators are "greaseless", 
the mfgrs don't spec any included sink compound. 

The problem with the wakefield type of grease is a 
migration over time issue.  The compound actually 
"walks" or moves over a long period of time. Not 
good if you really need the compound to stay put. 

I error on the side of "old-school" (a term much 
over used by younger people). I still include the 
grease, regardless of the insulator type. 

I figure 20 plus years of operation is probably long 
enough before I have to possibly worry about 
re-greasing the transistor insulators...
