The 70-050C will cover 6 meters with reprogramming & retuning.  They should
be an 80 channel 50 watt radio, and you can make a repeater out of them, you
will need one for transmit and one for receive.

The first thing to check is to make sure that they have the memory module
and the CTCSS board  installed.  They are programmed with a Midland 70-1000
programmer, e-mail me off list if you need any programmed
