And don't forget that cable loss is not flat loss. Flat loss happens in resistive attenuators. Loss through cable is variable depending on frequency. Even though your sat-rx is a digital system, the RF stages of your system are analog. The IF from the LNB to the RX being 950-1450 MHz, some nominal equalization should be taking place in the receiver to "flatten" the signal before it goes to the demodulator. Being a consumer system, there will be some compromise to all this since the length of cable will be variable from installation to installation. They designed it to use RG-6 cable. If you really need to get that dish far away from the receiver, you can use a bigger cable or insert an amplifier in the cable. Otherwise, as Ken said earlier in this thread, "There is tons of level so it can afford the loss!" The bottom line is that it is a digital system. It's a one or zero. It works or not. If you install it and you get service, you're good to go.
