Bill, we're using 927mhz to link our 2 440 machines together.. The 
one site is very populated and did suffer from some intermod from
900mhz paging on the hill.. A pass cavity fixed that.. The other
site is close to a city, actually looks down on it, and does get
brought if not in tone squelch mode. Although the one repeater does
come up, I've never heard any actual cordless phone coversations
so that could be paging also.. This site also has an omni ant. for
future plans in linking in a 3rd site..

The radio's are 30w Johnson 8655's turned down to about 10-15w and
are running simplex.. With that in mind, we can usually hold our
freq. with any of the cordless folks.. 

There are a few Kenwood radios I would consider using for linking 
as well, but got a bunch of EFJ's in Dayton a few years ago.. I'm
sure there are some Motorola radios as well, it just that I'm not
familar with there line..
