Dumont!  We had one of those UHF mobile radios at the communications shop I
worked at!  Good looking radio, was not real dependable though!

It would be fun to plug the GE Prog (even a
pre-prog) or the old Motorola Research Line
tube equipment back in. I'm sure with some care
it would fire right back up.  I still have
most of it in storage. Even the Link and
Allen B DuMont stuff...

The problem is paying the electric bill.

It costs a lot of money to run those space
heaters 24/7.

Not that it would make a large difference in
the already high $1300.00/month electric
bill. I would imagine that equipment would
easily eat over $50 a month in electricity

Then the Air Conditioning cost to cool the
room back down...
