If it's an "N" connector check for any twist between the connector and the
coax.  Any twist means a poor connection for repeat service no matter the
coax type.

What are your problems/symptoms?

Good quality RG-213 cable may work well on a repeater
system that has good quality duplexers and cable
connectors.  The single shield only seems to make a
difference when you have marginal isolation in your
system and every dB counts.
