I've found that few people actually know how to
properly secure coax to a tower/fixture. Many
people use plastic tie-wraps, others hose clamps
and some various types of wire.
Any physical mounting trama to the coax is really
bad news. Damage to the jacket is where serious
oxide problems can start.
I use an old Andrew style double wound 14 ga
enameled wire wrap method to mount coax, trying
hard not to crush or damage the jacket.
Copper braid contamination is not a problem if
the jacket remains intact.
