Gmail is just like hotmail or msn mail or netscape mail thay are web based email services
you can get your email from any computer that has a internet connection ..and the mail stays on there servers untill you delete it I find Gmail a lot better and with a gig of storage its great I have 10 meg's of picturs sent to me with out a problem ..
