Hey Fred, Thanks for the reply. You must have missed the orginal posting. It's a stock GE digital pl encoder card. Swapped it out with another GE digital card and also a comm spec TS-64MII. Also swapped out the entire rx & audio boards. No difference between the two GE PL decks or alternate rx components. The TS-64 did seem a little better than the GE in decoding without talking off.
Interesting point in seeing the lpf fail. Will probe around some more on the pl deck. Didn't get a chance to get back to it yesterday...ho ho..
