Please identify this circuit board TLD 8491A-3. Run up as follows:
TLD4081A1 4 channel exciter
TLD 8491 A-3 ???????
TFD 6111A Bandpass Filter
TLD 1602A 45 Watt Power Amp
TFD 1601A Harmonic Filter
The ??????? TLD8491A-3 board has 8 tuning slugs in cans L1401 thru L1408
It also has a miniature relay.
Power amp not defective because it gives proper output being driven with HT
thru
bandpass filter input.
When I bypass phantom TLD 8491A-3 and drive PA with exciter board I only get
10 watts out of PA.
Phantom TLD 8491A-3 is not listed in either of my two manuals.
Radio is Micor mobile Canadian MX43RTA 132 - 150.8 mhz
Could phantom board be a buffer for exciter because of wide spread freqs?
Would like to replace board. Future plans to bypass internal PA and drive
external 100
watt pa so I might need a little extra mw drive power. Would like that extra
3db.
