Thanks to all that replied to my qeustion,

I'm very happy already for joining the group, its seem to have big
benifits and lots of experience people in our hobby with the know how,
which is great! I really enjoying the education part too.

This will be a low level UHF repeater for now about 40 to 50ft off the
ground at the home QTH. The antenna is a tri bander, 6/2/70cm @ 8.6dBi
on UHF and would like to use the 6m and 2m on the controller link ports,
will also require an antenna feed . There is also insertion of a small
duplexer to use 6m and 2m part of the antenna. How would that factor
into line loss? Or should I just leave out the tribander for repeater
use and look for a high quality UHF antenna only?

The Line loss answer was what I was looking for and got it. If I'm going
to make this repeater stuff work, I must get ready to buy aleast the
best antenna and feed line. Thanks much all and 73
