Hi Ed,
Very tempting for me to simply offer to trade you
for a standard 450 MHz range receiver. It would
be neat to have something down in the sub band
range. I'll think about that...
The first option would be to trade for a standard
range receiver strip where possible.
The second option would be to swap out or modify
the low range front end, but you might also have
to work on the injection chain.
Moving a receiver up doesn't seem to be as hard
as moving it down in the preselector coil
department.
Parts from a 450 Mitrek might work, but there
would be a bit of work. All things considered,
a receiver swap or outright purchase would be
your most practical option.
The transmitter will possibly tune up with little
or no mods. It's a well designed strip, with at
least 40 MHz range band width out of the box.
Hope that helps
cheers,
skipp
