God I thought I was the only one to ever have a 
vocaline setup. Yes, they were class A radios on 
UHF. Other than the collection I had, the only 
other same Vocaline Radios I've seen were on the 
desk behind Andy on the Andy Griffith Show (you 
know... Mayberry). 

If you know your vintage radios well, in various 
AG Shows... you can see an old Motorola Research 
Line DC Remote, a Vocaline, some type of General 
Radiotelephone radio (looks to be a Marine type) 
and a few other brands/models. Seems someone like 
to rotate radios through the Sheriffs Office. 

The Vocaline Radio had a regen type receiver... 
on UHF.
