Hello all --

I am one of those people that unsubscribed when the last "flare-up" happened
a while back. Lucky me, I re-subscribed exactly when the second round hit.

Richard, I pretty much agree with you. You and I and many others have been
on this list from the time it originally began. Up until recently, it has
been a very pleasant list to belong to. I have enjoyed it very much.

However, I can also understand Kevin's dilemma and his reluctance to become
a "dictator." If I were in his shoes, the first question I'd be asking
myself is "is this guy just irritating me and a handful of others, or is he
at risk of killing the entire group?" So, a poll isn't a half bad idea.
That's the only way to be sure. When a list grows to the size of this one,
it can tend to take on a life of it's own.

It would be nice if Russ and Dean would realize that their posts agitate
people here and that their subject matter really is out of sync with what
this list is all about. But they either do not realize this or they in fact
do and continue maliciously. I have emailed Russ directly in the past and my
comments appear to be foreign to him. As such, I believe he is clueless.
Dean, I don't know for sure. He strikes me as one whom just likes to fan the
flames for some reason.

In the meantime, since I receive my posts individually, I have added them
both to my "blocked senders" list. This will help, but not totally solve the
problem. Whenever someone else responds to them, I'll still see that post.

It's too bad that there are people out there who spoil a good thing. Yet
they are out there. Be it on a list such as this one, or on the air causing
similar grief. They are why some people get out of a hobby altogether. Maybe
that's their intent - to drive people away. All I know is that it's
extremely upsetting to me and it takes the fun out of participating. If that
has been their goal, I guess that they have succeeded.
