The VXR-7000 trickle charger can only be disabled via a hardware modification; you must go inside and unsolder a resistor. If you would like a copy of the E-Mail from Vertex hit me off list and I'll send it your way.

However the repeater manual states "Never reapply AC power to the repeater with a discharged battery connected, as the DC startup current can damage the repeater and battery".
