Send me your file and I'll look at it and check it with a Syntor I keep on the on the bench and make sure it works.
 
It's been a while since I did a UHF Syntor, but if my memory is correct all that I did was generate the hex file with the receive if flipped, then all that you have to do is tune the receiver pre selectors, tweak the transmitter and you're ready to go. No changes to the VCO, etc.
 
I also recommend generating a test eeprom where you move the frequencies a few MHz on each channel, makes tune up a whole lot easier rather than going 20 MHz in one jump.
