Sorry about speaking FCC rules, but Auxilliary use (Link Radios) is
only allowed above 222.5 MHz.

I recommend UHF Custom MVPs 450-470 split should work down there with
a little bit of a fight. Also you will need to check local band plans
and with a co-ordinator as there are segments not allowed for
Auxillary use in the 440 band due to ATV and space work.  I think
439.5-440 is safe though.
