I am glad to see Ken on the group.  I studied his products a long time 
on the web.  He's probably got the most bang for the buck, and I DO 
have some experience with the soldering iron, but the disclaimers in 
his manual scared me a bit.  It is worth the additional $100 for peace 
of mind by having the whole board built for you.  One cold solder 
joint can ruin a ham's day.  If I could eek out another $100 for this 
project...

Have fun at Dayton!  Seems everybody's there.  (Not a good time to try 
and buy repeater controllers, unless you happen to be in Dayton!)
