Gervais,
LTR is a popular trunking format. Logical Trunked Radio Users on a LTR
system are assigned to a specific talk group(s) which are  identified by the
radio as a six-digit ID.
the first digit is the are code 0 or1, the third and fourth digits are the
home repeater 01-think 21,
and the user id are the last three digits this is 000 - 254.
They encode all control info as digital subaudible  such as the trident
raider controller think a CSI has one also. never used the csi only the
tridents. the controller tells the radios where to be at to accept a
communications transmission.. with in its groups.  but
