Mike, I had a need to record from a "Mini Disk" player into my computer to burn some cd's (from a spring band concert). My brother had given me a hacked copy of Cool Edit Pro. Frankly, I like (and was easier to use) what I had been using on EchoStation..."Gold Wave". Does alot of different stuff and was pretty user friendly. Cutting and splicing was easy. Being able to drop audio peaks and pull up some was easy too. Go to www.goldwave.com and give it a look. Good Luck, Robert
