I purchased a GE suitcase programmer to use with Phoenix, Delta, and Ranger mobiles. It has a Panasonic handheld computer, I/O module with 6 slide in contact slots, a printer, EPROM and serial board, and a plug in memory module that holds the specific radio programming information. The memory module has about eight or nine open dual-in-line-pin sockets where the burned program chips may be plugged. The computer appears to be ok, but will not report the program storage module as a peripheral. It will report the printer, the EPROM burner pads and the ram of the computer. The program storage module has one program installed for the Phoenix. I have tried cleaning the contacts, placing the module in a different location, and staying at a Holiday Inn Express, but nothing so far. I suppose it is something in one of the chips. Is anyone out there familiar with this module, know of any problems in the past with it, or know a good place to start checking? Thanks for any assistance. Randy B.
