Locally the printer guru that seems to have a huge
collection of printer parts is Computer Printer Repair
at 626-332-9111 .... Tell Jerry that Mike sent you
and ask about your Panasonic drum.

HP and Epson run on the exact same business model.

I saw a unofficial transcript of an HP stockholders meeting where
supposedly a board member commented that the printer division
is in the ink business, not the printer business.

Still, I tell my clients to pick up a reconditioned Laserjet
for all their black and white printing (then I give them Jerry's
card), and to use an inkjet or a color laser only for the
color printing. One real estate office had a inkjet for each
of 16 computers, I installed a single recon LaserJet 4000 with
a network card (total price $500) and set it up as the default
printer and it paid for itself in 6 months. The customer now
wants to add a single color LaserJet with a network card.
