Working from memory here... 

The Motorola Moxy was a low tier/cost version 
of a Maxar radio. 

The Motrek was a low tier/cost version of a 
Mitrek. 

We used to joke at the shop that someone at 
the factory would start removing parts from 
a real radio... when the radio quit working 
they'd put the last part back in and ship-it. 

Nothing wrong with the radios, they are just 
very bare bones. 

The only radios we really hated to work on 
were the Motrar and the trunking micors...
