All;

I've got a Motorola VHF 1/2-kilowatt base station here (1974 vintage)
with the built-in wattmeter on the metering panel and the sensing unit
tucked away in the cabinet.

The cabinet has been gutted to hold a new repeater transmitter, but
I'd like to use the wattmeter to monitor power out from the PA. It
seems to work, sort of, although the meter is not correctly indicating
what the power (verified with a known correct wattmeter) going into it is.

The wattmeter itself has 3 wires coming out of it, two going to the
meter and another, larger yellow wire connected to an RCA jack on the
back of the sensing unit. I'd really like to know more about the unit
(especially that unknown yellow wire) before I put it into service;
anybody got info on these? Model number is NLN6556A.

Thanks,

Tom WA8PYR
