I've had a 45A IOTA +IQ4 maintaining 2 #29 sealed batteries that power
the entire ham shack for over 2 years now with not a lick of trouble
and no apparent deterioriation of the batteries.
Noise? Have NEVER heard anything from mine from 160 through 450.
Perhaps from a poorly-designed switcher but the IOTAs are built the
right way and specifically designed for battery maintenance while
powering electronic equipment.
Second best $$ I ever invested.
