Tell us more details of what you have on your mind of
doing. Most of the different frequency band receiver
boards for the micors are interchangeable. ie you
could make a cross band repeater by using a vhf lo
band receiver along with a vhf hi or uhf exciter and
vice versa. As far as placing a receiver board in a
separate box, as if you are going to use it as a
remote receiver for remote control, etc, motorola has
done this in most models of it's paging transmitters,
and repeaters, by adding the shielded interface box
and cabling, etc.
