I think its by specific state or locale. I contacted the DNR here in
Wisconsin to do the same thing and they have rules (laws) which state
nothing shall be affixed to any fire tower unless it is a government
or municipal agency...neither of which we are as a collective, but
individually yes. Regardless of our jobs and affiliations with PD,
FD, EMS, the equipment itself had to be owned by the Gov't or a
municipality. The Ranger was an extremely nice guy, and made being
told NO very pleasant indeed. So we look elsewhere...
It would be nice.
