If I understand what you want to, get a radar image to
a remote or mobile location. I thought about two ways
to do this. First, break it down into source and
transport.
The radar image or source material could either be
taken directly from a video output of a computer (use
a video card that has a standard video output). Or
take the video output from a vcr or other video tuner
if the radar is from TV, and do a video capture. This
could also be done with a computer.
For transport either use wireless internet or the 440
ham ban. Part of the 2.4 GHz wireless internet band
is within a ham band, so a ham can legally run higher
power bi-directional amplifiers. The laptop used for
receiving could have a card with external antenna
jack. Or use the 440 ham band to do TV transmission.
There are a couple of cable TV channels that lie
within the 440 ham band. So, with the right equipment
a video transmitter could be setup and then use a
cable ready TV for the receiver.
