I was guessing you meant DB-224, not DB-204.  The 224 is a four bay 
folded dipole array with 6 dB omni gain.  The DB-224 would be the best 
choice for top mouting if you are in a lightning prone area, as the G7-
220 has a top whip about 1/8" thick that would probably vaporize with 
the right hit.

PD-220 series Stationmasters prices are outrageous for the causal ham, 
so the DB-224 is a more practical chouse because itcost less, but then 
the G7-220 is only like $159.00 from AES.  At 1800 feet, go with the DB-
224.  At 100 feet, it's not as big of an inconvenience to climb when 
lightning smokes it.
