One thing you'll find is how any cable type you use
will show slight differences if your test equipment
will indicate small changes.

Some of you guys walk right past a cheap resource. At
Dayton and the local Ham Flea Markets, there are/were a
number of people Selling new jumpers, which are excess
inventory from the latest round of cell site upgrades.

$5 each for a swept to 1.8 GHz jumper with the cert
tag still on it.

There's a guy at the Livermore California "LARK" Swap
each month selling high spec 3, 6, 10 & 20 dB attenuators
for about $8 each. I often like to place a 3 dB pads
at the cavity port end of a test cable to reduce the
test cable effect.

I can see differences in test cables made with 214, 303,
400u, yadda... yadda. even the tri-sheild stuff...

It's just a question of how excited you get over the
differences and what cables you can really trust. The
cable length - placement of watt meters and test
equipment also shows up as a difference/different
value measured.

cheers,
