I guess I've been lucky also.

I use a Comet 4160 Diplexer for 2 meters & 440 MHz.  But I take it apart 
& modify it for case mounted N connectors & re-inforced solder points.  Also,
I use it for 80 watts VHF & 40 watts UHF.
