I would tent to agree with this. When using Comets better grade unit, at 50 watts uhf and 50 watts vhf, the unit held up just fine, once I increased the power, things got warm, and yes decense happened right along with it.  I often wondered if it were placed on a larger heatsink if it would change the characterisitics of it, but never went that far.

Given my experience with the Comet 4160 MODIFIED, you should probably be able
to do this @ 65/90 watts.
