I see 16-17 VDC no-load on just about all Motorola MICOR supplies, on the high-current output terminals. I wanted to use some of the supplies with things like Kenwood/ICOM/Alinco 6 & 2-Meter rigs and Mirage amplifiers in a remote base system, but I'm a little hesitant to use them on anything except MICOR PA decks since the manuals say not to exceed 15-16 VDC for most of the transceivers.

These are very good rack mount supplies using in Motorola 110 watt continous duty repeaters/base stations. They put out 3 voltages. On the rear terminals is the high current 25 amp continous 13-15 volts. This is from a fara resonant(?) part of supply which is not very well regulated. It is very clean and at load will drop to maybe 13-14 volts. The other 2 voltage are on the cable with connector. They are 9.6 and 13.8 V linear regulated. The 9.6 V was for most of the low power stuff such as exciter, receiver etc. The 13.8 was used in places such as spearker drivers. These supplies are excellent for repeaters. Better than Astron although they make excellent supplies also. Just for repeater use must be derated. AS20 good to maybe 12 A continous and don't care what Aston says, hi. I have a number of the TPN1110Bs and don't pass them up at hamfest for $50. in mint condx. ron --- In [email protected], "gervais fillion" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > ok Q > let me check ,whitout a load the vdc i have,,,qrx > > G,ve2ckn > > > >From: Q <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >Reply-To: [email protected] > >To: [email protected] > >Subject: Re: [Repeater-Builder] motorola power supply > >Date: Sun, 13 Nov 2005 13:39:47 -0500 > > > >The normal GE supply is 15 volts without a load,so I would go ahead and > >use it... > > > >gervais fillion wrote: > > > > > > hi , > > > humm i dont know if i am at the right place,, > > > anyone knowes this Motorola Power supply,TPN11108 > > > it is based on a Micor Pager unit that i dismantle > > > > > > at this moment it has a fix voltage at 15 vdc,to much for my master 2 > > > i need 14 vdc > > > and i dont see any potentionmeter in the power supply board and it seems > >to > > > be fixed vdc > > > > > > anyone knows these power supply and a way to lower the vdc at 14 > > > > > > > > > thanks for the help > > > > > > gervais,ve2ckn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >Yahoo!
