I also sent an e-mail to Yahoo itself. Never got a
reply, but sometime on Wednesday or Thursday
everything went back to normal. I'm sure that they
investigated it and took steps to fix things.

I had not made any changes to my system at all over
the past 8 days.

Yahoo is definitely not my primary e-mail service
either; I only use it for the YahooGroups, but 35-40
seconds to read, delete, or move every message was
getting more than a bit painful, especially on days
when there are 30+ messages to go through.
