John, This is a control station that will talk to several local and not so local repeaters for emergency service in disasters.
Before I put my tall tower up I had a knock off of a Comet dual band antenna on a 60 foot tower that covered pretty well. Not the best but it kept me from having to put up two antennas and feedlines. I would never use one on my tall tower though. I have several DB-224/DB-410-420's and Sinclair antennas on it for commercial/Ham use through the transmit multi-couplers.
