General notes about digital modulation:
Of course, there's another thing to consider...
"Codes and Ciphers" aren't allowed in the Amateur service. Therefore
digital modulation used in the Ham Bands must be a readily-available,
published standard.
Concocting your own digital modulation type is okay, as long as you
publish it for all to use and decode. Or use an industry standard digital
modulation type that someone else already published.
If your chosen digital modulation type includes encryption, that also
immediately disqualifies it, unless the encryption can be turned off.
