YEP, that is absolutely correct.

But sometimes it takes a lot of work to make that happen correctly.

I bought a house 4 years ago.  To create my ground system, I drove a 1/2 inch
copper water pipe into the ground, then welded 4 inch copper strap to that
copper pipe.  Within (approximately) the first 8 feet it connects to my HF
radios, my AC breaker box, and my cable TV box.  Then it goes under the house
& is double clamped to the cold water pipes.

I have not yet done the extra work to connect the ground system to my DISH
network system and & the off-air TV antenna.  Those are still on my to do
list.
