Byron, 

If the main board cpu is dead... you're pretty much 
dead in the water unless you can find replacement 
parts. The tkr-720/820 repeater/base units are long 
out of production.  

I have seen and bought parts unit kenwood tkr repeaters 
off ebay, but you're going to pay serious money for then 
depending on condition. 

Next time I'm on the horn with Kenwood, I'll ask if 
the CPU or main board can still be purchased.
