<---When I first got into EME work, I heard of another EME op who used
Radio Shack right-angle adapters, which use those springs to connect the
center pin "around the corner". Imagine what 1500 watts of 144 mHz energy
does to one of those :-)

One reason I've always sworn by geniune Amphenol silver plated connectors
for just about every RF application.
