That's how I prefer to run things too.

We have three repeaters locally at one site, that I set up this way 
years ago. Now the new tech committee is busy converting it to 
multiple astrons and some sort of switching arraingement.  

I don't understand why, and I have yet to see a schematic or anything 
that makes sense, but as douglas adams would say, it's the best sort 
of problem.. Someone else's.


My current machine is set up in the float configuration, and although 
it will get a big capacity boost and new charging system, the basic 
configuration won't change.
