Hi Darrell, 

  The Mitrek (and early Syntor, same family) had a dis-similar metals 
 problem with the connectors used between the Main Circuit board and 
 the Interconnect Board.  The permanent fix was to swapout the 
 connectors on the Interconnect Board. 

  We had a fleet of Syntors (T83SRA) ... Motorola sent us a box of 
 new Interconnect boards with the proper connectors allowing us to 
 change them out. 

  Several years later, we had a Mitrek with an intermittent squelch 
 problem.  Finally, I put a jumper wire between the Interconnect Board 
 and the main board bypassing the seemingly intermittent contact on 
 the Interconnect board.
