Hmm... that's an interesting (but odd for up here at altitude) possibility.

Thanks Glenn, I'll have to think about that one.

It's dry as heck up there at that altitude, but of course, there's 
always a possibility that a rain shower or snowstorm gives high relative 
humidity numbers up there from time to time...

Will look for weird "traces" or burn marks where they shouldn't be under 
good light after the dead one comes down to the house for a workbench visit.

Personally, I think the solution is that they're just lonely -- they 
miss the nice warm workbench so they do anything in their power to come 
down off the mountain.  (GRIN)
