Icom had such a unit that would plug into your handi ..  I have one .. 

its a parrot repeater .. you talk in , it stores your voice, the out is 
comes 

also can be used to run a cheap repeater with 2 handies .. or 
mobiles  if needed .. 

great little box to bad thay are hard to find now a days  ..
