Regarding RCC Channels, some system operators use the VHF and UHF mobilephone channels for LTR trunking with interconnect. This is permitted under FCC rules except there is more reporting to the commission. I started in 1975 maintaining a GE IMTS system and also used a SECODE 2805 / VP1 system. Imagine the radio drawing 2 amperes in standby, either the Motrac with a 5894 filament and VP1 head, or the Mot T1433 Solid State with scads of pnp transistors and a FACTS (Fully automated car telephone system) Control head. There was also a Rydax system in area...Dah Dee Dum....(used 3 sequential tones for mobile dialing).

If you weren't | constructed, or failed to answer the letter, your license was pulled. | I bet if you search ULS, you won't find very many Verizon licenses left | on VHF/UHF. Maybe some, but not many. | -- | Jim Barbour | WD8CHL | | | | | | | Yahoo!
