You probably have to ADD the 2nd mode. If the radio was originally sold as a single-channel radio, the 2nd channel could have been deleted.
You'll have to read the existing codeplug with RSS (remember to save it to disk as soon as you read it in), then go to the CHANGE (F4) menu, then probably MODE (F5). There should be a Mode Utility (F8) menu you can access. Go there, tell it to ADD a mode after mode 1. As that's a 2ch radio, you can only add the 2nd mode. After that, return to the CHANGE menu, press F4 to go to the Next Mode, and program it up. Save the modified codeplug to the radio. Make sure it works. If so, THEN save the codeplug to disk.
