Here is something that is interesting from a Retired Broadcast Engineer, Instructor formerally of NBC try this !! run a set of knots in your power cords for about 6 to 12 inches, he had lightning hits at his site while some 2 way techs were replacing equiptment ! all he replaced was cords, back on line in no time, I was at a Engineers mtg last summer with Tech Notes this person is also a Ham BTW !
