One of the nice things about the local convention and hamfests in the northwest is the lack of the higher costs of travelling further to the distant events. Just my opinion, I know, but costs (fuel prices, hotel rooms etc.) aren't getting any cheaper. John, have you ever attended the Western Consumer Electronics Show (CES) the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) ... or served on the committee for the 2006 APCO Western Region APCO Conference a few days ago at the Oregon Convention Center?
