Why not just link the weather info to the site via a link from home that way when it crashes you don't have to wait for the spring thaw to fix it. Obviously the site weather is going to be pretty much the same during the winter...."colder than a well diggers A...." Ummm well, you get the picture. It would be nice to have the weather for the area where there are people. I have been doing that for about three years now.
