No problems making a repeater with the F420's ... You can back to back the
radios with the OPC-617 and make a repeater or in band bi-directional link
with a simple crossover cable to pass Disc Audio to the Tx and COS to PTT
and vice versa... Also they will pass CTCSS.
I will dig out the pinouts for the crossover cable. Also you will need to
solder some pads in the radio's to configure the correct audio to the option
lead.
With the crossover lead it's pretty much plug in and go.
